Prerequisites

  • critical-reflective attitude towards law (as a normative behavioural regulating framework), community and crime thorough knowledge of research methodology
  • profound basic knowledge of research methodology - in particular - knowledge of specific criminological sources, beside legal, psychological and sociological sources; to consult these sources efficiently and independently; to reach research questions from existing literature; to have basic knowledge concerning date collection (quantifying and qualitatively) as well as being able at basic level to carry out independently the analyses and to report about this
  • theoretical knowledge of applied psychology, sociology and anthropology within the field of crime and the treatment of crime
  • basic skills of oral and scientifically written reporting including a term framework own to criminological sciences
  • being interested in and sensitive for interweavement between theory and practice
  • apply of criminological theory on the practice (e.g. by means of internship, case studies,#)
  • authentically interest for the (inter)personal and socially functioning
  • basic knowledge of English: to be able to read and understand English texts; to understand English teached seminars and colleges
